CareerCrush: Tamara Robert - The Therapist Dedicated to Transforming Relationships

In our latest #CareerCrush series, we shine the spotlight on Tamara Robert, a relational psychotherapist dedicated to fostering love and deeper connections. Tamara specializes in couples therapy and is devoted to healing relationships and assisting those at the beginning stages of dating or new relationships.

Tamara's mission is to help her clients restore a sense of security and safety in their relationships. "People reach out to me mainly because they desire to return to love," she explains. Her work goes beyond just romantic relationships, as she believes that choosing love can heal all aspects of our relational world, including our families, communities, and the world at large.

Tamara's journey into couples therapy was unexpected. A colleague suggested she try working with couples, and despite initial hesitation, she decided to give it a go. "He referred my first couple to me, and from that very first session, I fell in love with the work," she recalls. Since then, Tamara has found immense joy in training new therapists in couples therapy every February.

One of the most gratifying parts of her work is witnessing the transformative power of love. "When I see couples in distress find healing in their relationship, it moves me," she says. For Tamara, it's not just about fixing a relationship but creating a healing space for childhood wounds and even generational trauma.

In Tamara's words, "Love isn't for the faint of heart, and neither is couples therapy." However, for those willing to embark on this journey, it can be an incredible path of healing, growth, and transformation. Through her work, Tamara guides people to a deeper understanding of themselves and each other, helping them return to love and, ultimately, heal.
